The subjects are variedoceans, forests, lagoons, nudes, ships, dancers, musicians and animals. Originally from southern Connecticut, I have lived in Ft. Lauderdale for 40 years. I am a breast cancer survivor.

  • Sandra Hill’s Homemaker series, three paintings from which are on display as part of The View From Here, reflects on her life experiences and those of her sister, mother, aunty and grandmother — all of whom are also Stolen Generation survivors, their stories spanning multiple decades. Each painting in the series depicts an Aboriginal woman in a Booka (kangaroo-skin cloak), situated.
